ABOUT US
BARÇOBATTO, founded in Berlin anno 2025, is a project between two dear friends, Barçin and Marthe, who share a passion for creativity, craftsmanship and sustainability. Our shared passion is what first brought us together years ago in Berlin, and it became the basis of our dream to build something meaningful together. Then, on a chance meeting in Barçin’s hometown of İzmir, we met an incredible silversmith and jewellery artisan whose work sparked the beginning of our story.
Our Story
What started as a simple conversation grew into an idea between an artisan and two friends who saw an opportunity to bring Turkish craftsmanship to Berlin. Our vision for this brand, as founders, is to join forces creatively with artisans to make beautiful, well crafted products. And with that, BARÇOBATTO was born, based on a shared passion for artisanal craftsmanship and a desire to celebrate the beauty of handcrafted jewelry.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
BARÇOBATTO is about celebrating craftsmanship and creativity first and foremost, valuing both the product and the artisan. Additionally, as founders, we believe there is great potential for finding more ethical and sustainable ways of creating. In working closely with artisans, there is an opportunity to directly examine how products are made and what materials are used. In working closely with the artisan who handcrafts our products, we aim to research, examine and rethink our sourcing and production process, and implement new practices where possible. We hope to discover and evolve as a brand as we go, learning new ways of making while honoring the tradition of local craft in İzmir.
In the future, we hope to keep bringing as much transparency, quality and authenticity to our customers as we can. This is the start of our journey, and with each step, we aim to improve. Every product made is an opportunity to create space for artisans and craftsmanship, making them a vital part of our story.
